Homework should be banned in schools because children need time to have fun

Over the past few months, parents have been seeing rapid changes of negative behaviour, unreasonable tantrums, and time limits in children before and after homework is done. They are not overly happy and request for homework to be banned so their children get more relaxation time for themselves. Do you have these same problems too?

Whenever I try to complete homework, I always struggle and feel bored when I write out things that I don’t even find useful. I always wonder why homework existed since I thought classwork would sort out all the problems. Yes, the homework does help revise the topic, but why can’t students just revise the topic in class right after learning it? Homework just drains our energy for the day ahead of us and removes a lot of our rest time.

Around 70% of parents have reported their children to produce lower quality overall work after doing a week of consistent difficdult homework. Sometimes, this lower quality work discourages children’s confidence since test results are worse which leads on for a long time, becoming more negative. The other 30% of parents have reported their children to become upset and locking themselves up in a room because of extreme stress levels. This type of effect is worse since it can give children depression and long-term illnesses because of deep stress. Children can refuse to communicate to their parents in eternal sadness.

In conclusion, I believe that homework should be banned because it causes too much emotion, and pain and just simple revision in can help you master the topic. Also, it is time wasting and pointless. Homework should be banned for the student’s greater goods!
