I was paralysed with anxiety, fearing an appalling punishment as I sat down in the headteacher's office. I kept my head down, imagining funny faces onto the fruit in her coffee-table bowl.

My attention was tugged back when she roared in a quivering voice,“ How dare you knock out a teaching assistant! How unruly to jump out of an empty locker!”

The phone chimed at the right moment. I let out a sigh of relief and chuckled. The headteacher glared at me but her hand still reached for the receiver. Within seconds, She charged out of the room.
