Write a story base on the idea - ‘Nothing stays the same for long.’

It all started out when my friends and I thought about having a picnic in our local park; we had been inside our beloved house for an entire week, so we needed fresh air which would enter our lungs and relieve the painful throbbing in our minds. Even tapping on the grimy glass of our fish’s bowl and making the fish splash ticklish drops of water at us was tedious. Taking a short walk towards the party, we discussed about how humans only had two World Wars and not more YET. One of my friends, Bob, questioned why people never fight consistently because they all believe in different things which causes arguments and then fights. I laughed. “Adults will only fight if there are serious matters, not on irrelevant subjects,” I explained. Before Bob could even react to my explanation, we had already arrived at the park.

Bob and I skipped to play on the slides and swings; my other friend, Tom, sped to his favourite balancing beam and stood high on it. Losing his balance, he fell off and rolled down the mini hill; instead of landing on rock solid ground, he fell straight through a hole which had powerful wind gusts projecting out. An infinite echo which sounded like “Help” was still echoing from the lost voice of an abandoned child a few years ago. Bob and I didn’t even realise that Tom was missing and we laughed joyfully until we heard a scream of horror behind us. We jumped out of our swings and peered down curiously at the hole; Bob squinted with tense muscles in his bird’s eyes but only saw eternal darkness. Whispers could be heard chanting, “Beware….Beware” .Without hesitation, Bob grabbed onto me as tightly as a spider to a fly. “What are you doing!!!!” I shrieked as I waved my useless arms around in the air.

Bob turned around and felt the lifting upwards pressure squeeze his brain. He replied unconcernedly that dying would result in reawakening in the real world because he assumed they were in a dream.

“No wonder you’re the worst in our class at common sense and cleverness,” I sighed.

CCRRAASSHH. Luckily, we were still alive because Bob’s buttocks were so gargantuan that they stopped the fall. He let out an awkward scream which was like a parrot. His eyes looked up and his cheeks inflated as though he was holding in the pain. It was pitch dark inside and we felt the cold draught send a chill up our bodies.

Out of pitch darkness, two demonic hands with razor sharp claws appeared in front of us and yanked us firmly. Then, the world turned blood red with extreme agony then to black.
